Jakobsson’s Mellon White Slim is not necessarily a “new”
product, rather a rebranding of the old Jakobsson’s Mellon White Slim Stark.
This is a perfect snus for the summer. Gotlandssnus describes Jakobsson’s
Mellon as a “Smaller portion with less drip. Has a characteristic taste of melon
with hints of pear and sweetness. A long, narrow, dry surface with a low
moisture content and a lasting taste release”.
Jakobsson’s Mellon comes in a white can with a nice reflective
red label. Something new with this design is a full can catch lid. Another
feature of Gotlandssnus is a neat compass in the catch lid and I am glad they
kept that with the redesign. Jakobsson’s Mellon has 20 portions weighing .65g
each totaling 13g. The nicotine content is 14mg/g which is 9.1g/portion.
Before you even open the can, you will notice a distinct watermelon
smell. It reminds me a lot of bubble gum. The taste is just like the aroma, a pleasant
watermelon. The portions are soft and fit very well in the lip. Being a white
portion, I find I can keep these in for about an hour before the taste begins
to run out. The nicotine content is a normal strength and feels just like a
normal slim portion.
This is a perfect summer snus. The flavor and aroma remind
me of summers on my back porch. This is definitely a flavor to check out if you
enjoy a fruity snus!
