Knox Red White - June 28, 2022

Knox has been produced since 2006 by Skruf, and they've usually produced bergamot flavored snus, but about a year ago, they released a limited edition snus; Knox Red White. While it's not uncommon to have a limited edition release, it is uncommon to have a limited edition release from Knox. I've been using Swedish Snus since 2013, and I cannot remember a limited edition release from Knox. Knox describes Knox Red White as having a "classic tobacco taste topped with red berries".

Knox Red White comes in a silver can with a red label. Knox is front and center in silver, with Red White below, denoting the flavor and style of snus. This can is very eye popping and I do enjoy the red on silver look of this can. Knox Red White comes with 22 portions, weighing .87g each, totaling 19.2g. The nicotine content is 8mg/g which is 6.96mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll find a pleasant berry aroma. I've found strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of blackberry. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. Strawberries and raspberries up front mixing well together, with a hint of blackberries in the background. It's sweet, but not an artificial sweet. It reminds me a lot of eating fresh berries in the summer with my grandmother. The nicotine content feels to be at the regular strength and I've found the flavor to last around an hour!

Overall, this is a very good product. It's not often that there are limited editions that we can get here in the USA, but when they do come, they're always very well done. This is one I can see myself using occasionally in the summer when I want a treat, but not full time. Lundgrens Österlen - June 6, 2022

With summer here, I thought it would be a great time to review a product that, in my opinion, has a perfect flavor for summer. Lundgrens Österlen. For a while now, Lundgrens has named their products after a region in Sweden, and their corresponding flavors in that region. It definitely makes their products unique as each product almost becomes a mini geography lesson! The Österlen region is in the southeast province of Skåne. The apple orchards from this region make their presence known in this product. Fiedler & Lundgrens describes this product as having a "clear sweet and sour taste of red and green apples".

Lundgrens Österlen comes in a black can, with Lundgrens front and center with a reddish-orange box around it. Under that is Österlen Slim, denoting the slim format. The design of the can is very modern. Another awesome feature of the Lundgrens line, is their Flex Lock lid. The catch lid part of the can is rubbery and expandable. The more snus you use from inside the can, the farther the catch lid expands, enabling you to store more used portions if you're not near a trash can! Each can comes with 22 portions, weighing .7g each, totaling 15.4g. The nicotine content is 10mg/g which is 7mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll find a pleasant floral aroma. There is a faint apple aroma in the background, along with a hint of tobacco. The flavor in this one is slightly different than the aroma. I pick up on the apple more in the flavor, than I do in the aroma. It's not too overbearing, but not as faint as it is in the aroma. The floral notes mix well with the apple. It's not very sweet, but more of a natural apple. Almost like it was just picked from the tree. The portions are super plump and very soft, making for a great fit in the lip. Being a white portion, these also last for about an hour! The nicotine content feels to be right at the regular strength as well.

Overall, this is a good product. It's not my favorite from the Lundgrens line, but it's certainly not the worst.
