Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Sparkling White - March 4, 2022

XRANGE has been around since 2015. If you're not familiar with the XRANGE line, it's marketed as a long lasting, slim white, minimal drip product. The XRANGE lineup is also slightly cheaper than their namesake brands, which makes it more appealing to an avid snus fan on a budget. Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Sparkling launched in 2019 to celebrate the 100th year of Göteborgs Rapé! The taste of champagne in a snus is something I've never seen before, and nothing says 100 years old like a champagne snus! Swedish Match describes this as having a "taste of Göteborgs Rapé with a touch of champagne".

Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Sparkling comes in a translucent can with a blue label. XR is front and center on the can, with circles resembling champagne bubbles coming up from the bottom left. The can design is very reminiscent of a Göteborgs Rapé can. These cans are also slimmer, so I find that they sit better in my pocket while wearing jeans. Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Sparkling comes with 21 portions, weighing .8g each, totaling 16.8g. The nicotine content is 8.5mg/g which is 6.8mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll find a pleasant floral aroma, with citrus and apple in the background. The flavor is slightly different than the aroma however. The citrus and apple are more pronounced in the flavor, with the floral notes coming behind them. The portions incredibly soft to the touch, and feel great in the lip. The nicotine content feels to be at the regular strength and I've found the flavor to last over an hour. You really do get the most bang for your buck with this one!

Overall, this is a good product. Not something I use every day, but one I enjoy on occasion. I find I can get burned out on the flavor if I use it too often, but about once a month or so, I'll crack a can open and enjoy it. Kronan Vit (White) - March 3, 2022

Traditional snus. Tobacco flavored in all of it's glory. Kronan. Swedish for "the crown" (I learned this the other day when I was getting my notes ready for this review!), this snus really stands out to me as one of the "Big 5" for Swedish Match; the others being General, Ettan, Göteborgs Rapé and Grov. Swedish Match describes this snus as having a "dark tobacco taste with notes of violets and citrus, along with hints of green herbs".

Kronan Vit comes in a silver can with a green label. Kronan is front and center, with the crown right above. For the white portion, "Vit" is written in a silver bar just below. Each can comes with 24 portions, weighing .8g each, totaling 19.2g. The nicotine content is 8mg.g which is 6.4mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll find a pleasant tobacco aroma. There is a slight floral aroma behind it, but is hard to find at first. The taste is very similar to the aroma. A dark tobacco is up front, with a light floral presence behind it. There is a hint of citrus, but it's not very strong or firmly present. I'm not sure what they mean by "green herbs", but I have not found any in either the aroma or taste. The nicotine strength is right at that regular strength, so it's satisfying while also long lasting due to the white portion format.

This is a classic snus. Tobacco, with floral notes in the background. Very straightforward and no nonsense. This is also a "budget" snus in my opinion. Jakobssons StrongCola comes in a white can with a deep brown label. The Jakobssons label is centered on the top of the can, with "Jakobssons" centered in the middle. Each can comes with 20 portions, weighing .65g each, totaling 13g. The nicotine content is 14mg/g which is 9.1mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll find a sweet cola aroma. It's not overly sweet, or artificial, but definitely cola. The flavor reminds me a lot of RC Cola. It doesn't taste too sweet, but is definitely cola. The portions are light, but still fill the lip well. The nicotine content feels to be at the regular strength, so do not let the "Strong Cola" name turn you off of this one.

Overall, this is a very well done product. The aroma and flavor hold true to the name. It is a very good summertime snus for me, but it is definitely enjoyable all year.
