General Onyx Silver - May 12, 2021

General Onyx, as many of you may remember, was originally launched in 2006. In late 2019, Swedish Match decided that the Onyx line needed a rebranding. They came out with Onyx Titan, and Onyx Guld. Onyx Guld is a new flavor, and Onyx Silver is a rebranded can of the original General Onyx. The Onyx line is always a personal favorite of mine, and I've always considered it more of a "black tie" snus. Swedish Match describes this snus as having a "pure tobacco flavor and elements of roasted lemon, black pepper and salt".

General Onyx Silver comes in a black can with a black label. The General logo and ONYX are in silver. The design of this can is really sleek and one of my favorite designs. Each can comes with 24 portions, weighing .9g each, totaling 21.6g. The nicotine content is 12mg/g which is 10.8mg/portion. 

When you first open the can, you'll notice the portions are black, yet this is a white portion. The portions are technically a white portion due to their low moisture content, but are just in a different color material. These portions come in the classic General star formation. The portions are wedged on the side to fit into this formation, so the tobacco is packed into the one side, so I recommend fluffing the portions to even out the tobacco into the portion. Besides the great visual presentation, you'll find a very nice lemon, with tobacco and pepper mixing in the background. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. A citrus lemon, with a slight peppery tobacco presence in the background. The tobacco is mild, and mixes well with the citrus. The nicotine strength feels to be between a normal and strong portion.

Overall, this is a very good product. The flavor and presentation are really good. This isn't a snus I'd use every day, but it is something I would use for more special occasions. Go grab this snus at your favorite webstore today!

Shiro Piña Colada - April 29, 2021

First off, I would like to apologize for being away for so long. Between life just happening, and medical issues, writing reviews has definitely been pushed to the back burner. But we're back and we are good to go! Almost a year ago, AG Snus released three new nicotine pouches, all flavored after popular alcoholic drinks; Cuba Libre, Piña Colada, and Mojito. Today, we'll be reviewing the Piña Colada. AG Snus describes this product as having a "fruity scent and tastes of pineapple and coconut with a good sweetness".

Shiro Piña Colada comes in a white can with a white label. Shiro is printed in yellow and brown in the center of the can with a martini glass incorporated into the "i", really capturing the alcoholic inspiration for this product. Each can comes with 24 portions, weighing .5g each, totaling 12g. The nicotine content is 12mg/g which is 6mg/portion.

If you've never had a piña colada, it's a very simple drink. Rum, coconut milk, and pineapple juice. This is very much a summer/on the beach type of drink. When you first open the can, you'll find a sweet pineapple aroma greets you. Behind that, is a subtle coconut aroma. The coconut isn't too overbearing, but mixes well with the pineapple. The flavor is the same as the aroma. Pineapple up front, with hints of coconut mixing in the background. The nicotine pouch isn't overly sweet, but a more tropical/natural sweetness. The nicotine strength feels to be a little below the regular strength, but is still an enjoyable product.

Overall, this is a good product. I really enjoyed the flavor on this one and I would like to see this as an actual snus, not just a nicotine pouch.
