Skruf Double Mint Xtra Strong - October 27, 2020

When you first open the can, you'll find yourself greeted by the sharp aroma of menthol and eucalyptus. There is a slight tobacco presence in the background, but it's definitely hidden behind the mint. The flavor is mint. A slight burn from the menthol gives way to the cooling presence you will find with any other mint product. The portions are very soft, which is common of most Skruf products. The nicotine strength is definitely an extra strong product.

Overall, this isn't a product for me. Usually I enjoy a mint snus, but it's just too strong for me personally. The flavor is good, and not many companies have done a double mint so hopefully they'll release this in a normal strength. I would encourage anybody who likes mint products to try this out however. Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Strong - October 26, 2020

 When Swedish Match launched their XRANGE lineup, some of the original versions went away and were rebranded with the XRANGE line. Göteborgs Rapé Strong White was one of the products discontinued and rebranded. Swedish Match describes Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Strong as having a "light and spicy tobacco character with clear elements of lavender and juniper, as well as some wood and citrus".

Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Strong comes in a gold can with a reflective blue label. A red ring around the outer edge of the can denotes the strong version from the regular strength. As with the other XRANGE cans, XR is bold and centered on the can to draw your eye. Each can comes with 21 portions, weighing .8g each, totaling 16.8g. The nicotine content is 13.5mg/g which is 10.8mg/portion.

If you've ever had the normal strength GR XRANGE, this is the same snus with a stronger nicotine content. The aroma of juniper berries and lavender will greet you first with a hint of tobacco in the background. The flavor is the same as the aroma. Juniper berries and lavender with a hint of citrus in the background. The can may say strong, but it is only slightly stronger than a normal portion so you shouldn't get discouraged by the strength of this product.

Skruf launched their Nyans line a while back now with three different flavors. As a value priced line, it became very popular, and about 6 months ago, they expanded the lineup with two more flavors. Today we're talking about Skruf Nyans Norrsken. Skruf describes this as having a "taste of traditional tobacco flavor with hints of violet and licorice".

Skruf Nyans Norrsken comes in a black can with a black/purple label. It's very hard to describe the look of this can as it is not a very traditional looking can, but I do love this unique design. Skruf has always had some really good products, and Skruf Solbær is no different. A couple of years ago, Skruf released an all white nicotine product called Skruf Cassice. Now, Skruf has added tobacco to that recipe, and we have Skruf Solbær. Skruf describes Skruf Solbær as having a "clear sweet and sour taste of black currants with a classic tobacco taste in the background".

Skruf Solbær comes in a gray can with a gray label. Skruf is in the middle of the can, with the strength to the right of that. Solbær Stark is on the bottom right hand side of the can. Göteborgs Rapé Hjortron is always a snus I like to keep in stock for when I get a craving for it. Originally launched as a limited edition back in 2014, this snus proved popular enough to be brought on as a full time edition to the GR lineup later that same year. Swedish Match describes Göteborgs Rapé Hjortron as having a "light tobacco character with elements of cloudberry and lime, as well as hints of lavender and cardamom".

Göteborgs Rapé Hjortron comes in the classic Göteborgs Rapé can, a gold can with a blue label. Göteborgs Rapé is center on the can, really drawing your eye to it. This is certainly a very classic design and if it isn't broke, don't fix it! Each can comes with 24 portions, weighing .9g each, totaling 21.6g. When you first open the can, you'll find a pleasant cloudberry aroma, and a light flowery aroma behind that. If you've never had a cloudberry, then you're definitely missing out. They are a very tart berry and are quite honestly, very delicious. Ikea makes a very good Hjortron jam if you're able to get it. The flavor is a tart cloudberry, but not overbearing at all. Behind that is a light flowery flavor, mixing with a light spicy character.

Overall, this snus is one I almost always have in stock. The flavor is one of a kind and I would love to see more manufactures do this flavor. I wasn't able to pick up on any lime flavors, but each person will have a slightly different experience and you might pick it up yourself!

AG Snus recently released three new products in their Shiro lineup. Shiro, Japanese for white, is their tobacco-free, nicotine pouch lineup. Today, we're talking about their Shiro Cuba Libre product. AG Snus describes this as "an all white pouch with a taste of the rum and coke based cocktail".

Shiro Cuba Libre comes in a white can with a white label. Shiro is printed in brown in the center of the can with a martini glass above the "i". The martini glass really captures the alcoholic flavor this product has. Each can comes with 24 portions, weighing .5g each, totaling 12g. The nicotine content is 12mg/g which is 6mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll find a sweet rum smell, with a hint of cola in the background. It's a sweet rum, but not an overbearing or overly sweet aroma. One Gul - October 6, 2020

Swedish Match recently relaunched their One lineup. It was originally launched back in 2017 with three new products. One Gul is a new product with their relaunch and is inspired by General. Swedish Match describes One Gul as having a "light and spicy tobacco character with clear elements of yuzu, as well as herbs and orange blossoms".

One Gul comes in a silver can with a yellow label, which makes sense as Gul is Swedish for yellow. One is right in the middle of the can which is very eye catching. Each can comes with 22 portions, weighing 1g each, totaling 22g. The nicotine content is 14mg/g which is an easy 14mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll be greeted by a tart citrus, followed by a nice subtle pepper in the background. The taste is very similar to the aroma. A tart, but not overbearing citrus, with a hint of pepper and tobacco mixing nicely in the background. These portions are the softest portions I've ever had and even though they have a very thin portion material, I've never had any issues with them tearing or losing any tobacco out of them.

Overall, this snus is very good. It reminds me a lot of summer with the flavors and I'm very impressed. Swedish Match is arguably one of the best, if not the best, snus manufactures in the world today. They've really stepped up with their new portion format and I would love to see more products with this thin portion material!

Lyft Summer Beat - October 5, 2020

Lyft Summer Beat is a limited edition nicotine pouch released by Fiedler and Lundgrens released in the summer of 2020. Lyft has done some very good limited edition releases in the past, and this summer edition is no different. Fiedler and Lundgrens describes Lyft Summer Beat as having a "fresh taste of orange, citrus and floral tones".

Lyft Summer Beat comes in a white can with a orange/blue lid. This is very much a summer design in the colors. Lyft is right in the middle of the can and above that, you'll notice a "Tap the can" circle. If you enable NFC on your smartphone, you can literally tap the can with your phone and be directed to a website to enhance your summer. Each can comes with 24 portions, weighing .7g each, totaling 16.8g. The nicotine content is 8mg/g which is 5.6mg/portion.

When you first open the can, you'll be greeted by a pleasant orange smell, followed by a hint of floral elements. The taste is very similar to the aroma. Orange right up front, but not overbearing, with the floral elements mixing nicely in the background.

Nicotine pouches are the next big thing and AG Snus has gotten on board early with their Shiro product line. Before we get into the aroma and flavors, for those who don't know what a mojito is (I had to Google it myself), it is a mixed drink containing white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. Now, when you first open the can, you'll be greeted by a pleasant lime aroma with mint mixing in the background. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. A mild, almost sweet, lime with the cooling feeling you find with other mint products.

This is a decent nicotine pouch. The portions aren't as full as I'd like them to be, but it was still an enjoyable product.
